ALMANYA İLE 'SÖZDE SOYKIRIM' KRİZİ KAPIDA

Avrupa Birliği Dönem Başkanı Almanya’nın, sözde Ermeni soykırımını AB gündemine getirmesi ve bunu inkârla, "tehcir" demeyi bile suç sayma girişimi iki ülke ilişkilerini gerdi.. Türkler 3 yıl ceza alabilir Türkiye, AB Dönem Başkanı Almanya'nın, "sözde Ermeni soykırımını inkarı suç saydırma ve tehcir (zorunlu göç) diyenleri bile cezalandırma" yolunu açacak girişimine karşı diplomatik çaba verirken, Almanya şu ana kadarki uyarılara sessiz kaldı.

ERMENİ DİASPORASININ YAŞAMASI İÇİN TASARIYA İHTİYACI VAR

Türk-Ermeni İş Geliştirme Konseyi Başkanı Kaan Soyak, Ermeni tasarısıyla ilgili tartışmaların bir sektör oluşturduğunu, bu işten büyük para kazanan grupların sorunun devam etmesi konusunda çaba sarf ettiğini açıkladı. Soyak, Akdamar Adası'nın turizme açılmasının ikili ticari ilişkileri geliştireceğini belirterek, Türk hükümetinin sorunun çözümü adına yaptığı icraatları daha iyi anlatması gerektiğini söyledi.

NEW YORK TIMES: BM'NİN TÜRKİYE'YE BOYUN EĞMESİ REZİLLİK

Türkiye’nin itirazları üzerine BM’nin "Ruanda Soykırımı" sergisini ertelemesi, New York Times gazetesince sert dille eleştirildi. NYT, başyazısında "Ermeni soykırımıönın Hitler’i cesaretlendiği iddiasına yer verirken "BM yetkililerinin Türkiye’nin taleplerine boyun eğmesini" rezillik olarak nitelendirdi.

TERMİNATÖR'DEN ERMENİ DİASPORASINA BİR DESTEK DAHA

Terminatör lakaplı California Valisi Arnold Schwarzenegger, sözde Ermeni soykırımının yıldönümü kabul edilen 24 Nisan'ı kapsayan 22-29 Nisan arasını "Ermeni Soykırımını Anma Günleri" olarak ilan etti. ABD'de yayın yapan Ermeni basınında çıkan haberlere göre, Schwarzenegger 1915-1923 yılları arasında bir milyondan fazla kadın, erkek ve çocuk Ermeni'nin Osmanlı İmparatorluğu sınırları içinde öldürüldüğü, yüz binlercesinin ise mallarını, ulusal kimliklerini ve evlerini bırakarak başka ülkelere gittiğini iddia etti.

ARMENIAN CRISIS WITH GERMANY

Germany is preparing a bill that will give a three years jail sentence to those not only denying the Armenian genocide, but also to anyone who says: "Armenian forced emigration." The bill prepared by the EU term chair Germany has brought up the greatest crisis between Turkey and this country since World War II. Germany has prepared an unbelievable bill in regards to the claims of genocide.

UN APOLOGIZES TO RWANDA OVER POSTPONED GENOCIDE EXHIBIT

The U.N. has apologized for postponing the opening of an exhibit marking the anniversary of the 1994 Rwanda genocide over Turkish objections to a reference to the killing of Armenians in Turkey during World War I, the Rwandan ambassador said Wednesday. "We were contacted by the U.N. Under Secretary General [for public information Kiyotaka Akasaka], who told me they are reviewing the text [of the exhibit]," Rwanda's permanent U.N. representative Joseph Nsengimana told the AFP.

UNITED NATIONS TO OPEN RWANDA GENOCIDE EXHIBIT ‘VERY SOON’

CONFERENCE ON ARMENIAN ALLEGATIONS HELD IN NY

Speaking at a conference on the Armenian independence movement in New York, Günay Evinch, a U.S. lawyer of Turkish origin, said Turkey has to file a lawsuit at the International Court of Justice regarding the Armenian genocide allegations. Evinch stressed that Armenians and Turks needed to form commissions to study their history jointly.

ENERGY MINISTER GÜLER: SUSPENSION OF THE NABUCCO PROJECT IS OUT OF QUESTION

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Güler said on Wednesday that the suspension of the Nabucco project which will enable the "transportation of the Azerbaijani natural gas to Europe via Turkey" was out of question. Minister Güler answered questions from the press prior to the inauguration ceremony of the "26th Energy Efficiency Week" activities held at Mineral Research and Exploration Institute in Ankara.

DELAWARE PASSES RESOLUTION IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN REMEMBRANCE OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

With overwhelming support in the Delaware 144th General Assembly, a resolution proclaiming April 24 as a day of remembrance of the Armenian Genocide passed with a voice vote during the final hours prior to spring recess in the Delaware House of Representatives, reported the Armenian National Committee of America, Eastern Region.

SCHWARZENEGGER PROCLAIMED APRIL 22-29 AS “DAYS OF REMEMBRANCE OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE”

The week of April 22nd through April 29th is proclaimed as “Days of Remembrance of the Armenian Genocide” in California, the PanARMENIAN.Net journalist was told in the Armenian National Committee of America. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s statement particularly says, “Between the years 1915 and 1923, during the chaos of World War I, over one million Armenian men, women and children living within the Ottoman Empire's borders were killed; forcing hundreds of thousands of Armenians to flee to foreign countries after being stripped of their possessions, their national identities and their homeland.

BLASTS DAMAGE PARTY OFFICES IN ARMENIA

Blasts ripped through two local headquarters of a pro-government party in Armenia early yesterday, raising tension in the country ahead of parliamentary polls next month. The two offices were seriously damaged but no one was injured in the explosions, Baghdasar Mheryan, spokesman for the Prosperous Armenia party, told Reuters. The blasts occurred two hours apart.
