Turkish Class Information Minimize

ATA-Houston Adult Turkish Class Begins February 6!
   
GENERAL: ATA-Houston offers Turkish Classes for all levels of proficiency, such as Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Classes meet once a week in a central location. Depending on the demand for classes, there may be more than one section offered. Students may join the class at anytime. For more information contact ATA-Houston or sign up on the form below.
   
TEACHERS: Teachers of the classes come from the Turkish community. If you are interested teaching, please use the form below also. Please indicate in the comment section that you are interested in teaching Turkish. We appreciate your efforts.
   
SCHEDULE: Classes meet once a week for 10 weeks.
   
REQUIREMENTS: 1. Nominal fee for the course,
2. Students purchase own materials
   
TEXTBOOKS: Hitit Turkish Language Teaching Set, Immersion Spanish Deluxe Edition Workbook
   
CATCH-UP CLASS: This time we will not be able to have a Catch-Up class for this session.

2010 Spring ATA-Houston Turkish Classes Begin February 6!
   
ATA-Houston invites you to learn Turkish and attend the ATA Turkish Language classes. The classes will be at THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON.

ATA-Houston offers 4 Turkish classes; two Beginner I classes, one Beginner II class and one Intermediate I class.

The cost of the class is $85.00 for ATA Members. For NON-ATA Members the fee is $110.00. The student fee is $42.50. Please download the Class Policies for more information on this.

Course Offerings:

TURK 101.1 Beginner I 2-6-2010 Burcu Islak Hitit Turkish Language Teaching Set Book I, 2nd Edition
This class is for students that attended the class last session or with the permission of the Instructor, please email us for question.. They will start at Chapter 2 in the text.
TURK 101.2 Beginner I 2-6-2010 Ceren Cengiz Hitit Turkish Language Teaching Set Book I, 1st Edition
Students that have attended Beginner I classes or those with permission of instructor or those that have completed the first 6 chapters in the text.
TURK 102.1 Beginner II 2-6-2010 Ceren Cengiz Hitit Turkish Language Teaching Set Book I, 1st Edition
Students who have attended Beginner II class or those with permission of instructor.
TURK 201.1 Intermediate I 2-6-2010 Burcu Islak Hitit Turkish Language Teaching Set Book II, 1st Edition
Students who have attended the Intermediate class or those with permission of instructor.
NOTE about the book: Students will need to order the books online. Sometimes the books are out of stock, therefore, please plan to order the book well in advance of the class. Also, please make sure that you are ordering the correct edition since there is a new edition out for the Turkish book.

File Description:
The course textbook, Hitit Turkish Language Teaching Set 1 - Basic, 1st Edition, can be ordered from www.tulumba.com. Search on "Hitit."

There is a second edition of the same book. The Beginner I Class, section 1 (TUR 101.1) will use that one. The other Turkish classes will continue with the 1st edition. The two editions are totally different, therefore, cannot be used with the other edition.

You can order the book directly from the publisher inTurkey, however, it may take longer. Download this order form so that you can order the book.

Please have the text before the first day of class. You will have to allow a lot of time for this this sometimes.
